Painting Colleen

I broke out some of my old source drawings I did way back in the day when I painted with watercolours. After a couple of false starts, the third try started to work out how I wanted it to. Thanks to the brush guys from Brusheezy and Colorburned.  The paper background comes from Texturs4Layers group on Flickr. The texture provider is Les Brumes. Probably about 90% of the brushes I used weren’t ones I have created. Which is pretty unusual for me.
This was a great experience and is spurring me to create some specialized brushes for just these kinds of paintings. It also helped me realize I need a better tablet, and a much more powerful machine. Still, it was frustrating and fun all at the same time!
